Tenafly moved up to 182 from 220 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Big North - National. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of topping Indian Hills 27-21.
Lakeland Regional extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bergenfield, 24-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Kyle Allegrini was the best wideout in the league this week as Lakeland Regional bested the Bears. Allegrini racked up three receptions for 66 yards. Nick Unger helped Lakeland Regional's passing attack out by catching four balls for 47 yards.
Danny Thompson was the most productive running back in Big North - National this week. In 16 carries, he ran for 169 yards as the Braves beat Bergenfield. Teammate Brendan Carti added to the ground attack by rushing for 38 yards.
On the ground, the Lancers' David Shellhammer has rushed for 1039 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Allegrini. The Lakeland Regional star has 19 catches for 444 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Lakeland Regional takes on second place Northern Valley. Last week, Lakeland Regional bested Rob Violante's team, while Northern Valley fell to DePaul.
There should be lots of points scored when the Lancers and the Golden Knights face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Lakeland Regional comes in having scored 221 this season, while Northern Valley has scored 155. The Lancers scored 24 points last week as they defeated the Bears.
