While Elkhorn North's victory against Mount Michael Benedictine wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Elkhorn North never let Mount Michael Benedictine get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for Elkhorn North in their matchups with Mount Michael Benedictine: they've now won four in a row.

At the plate, Jake Janssen was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Janssen is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Skutt Catholic sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Elkhorn on Thursday. The four-run effort marked the SkyHawks' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
The team relied heavily on Nate Christensen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Sims, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
Skutt Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elkhorn struck out 13 times.
Skutt Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Elkhorn North, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Elkhorn North hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Skutt Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
