The Sunnyside Grizzlies won the last time they faced the Pasco Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Sunnyside took down Pasco 69-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sunnyside.
Sunnyside was led to victory by Lili Briones and Aubrey Garza. Briones scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds, while Garza scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Briones has scored at least 25% of Sunnyside's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Moncivaiz, who scored 10 points.
Sunnyside's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pasco, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Sunnyside will head out on the road to face off against Hermiston at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pasco, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Richland at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
