L.j. Hillis was the offensive standout of the match as he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Lewis Cass' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Deeter, who scored 4 points.
Caston's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caleb Stinson, who scored 13 points. Josh Evans was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Lewis Cass and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Caston, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Lewis Cass will head out on the road to face off against Logansport at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Logansport is ranked 140th, while Lewis Cass is ranked 117th). As for Caston, they will square off against Pioneer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
