 Meanwhile, Liberty Common made easy work of Sterling  on Wednesday and carried off  a  7-1 win. Given Liberty Common's advantage  in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings  (they are ranked 91st, while Sterling is ranked 200th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Longmont has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record  this season. As for Liberty Common, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1.
 Longmont might still be hurting after the  12-2 loss they got from Liberty Common  when the teams last played  back in April of 2023. That  matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Longmont was down  7-1.
