The Issaquah Eagles will face off against the Hazen Highlanders at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Issaquah and Newport - Bellevue meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Eagles came out on top against the Knights by a score of 8-3.

Tanner Scharnhorst looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Issaquah is 2-1 when Scharnhorst allows three or fewer hits, but 5-9 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nathan McBride, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Chris Brown was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Issaquah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hazen, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Issaquah 3-2.
Rydan Corwin made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Corwin wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gordon Williamson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Issaquah has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hazen, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
