Even though the McAlester Buffaloes scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, the Memorial Chargers still came out on top. Memorial took their game against the Buffaloes 70-58. Given Memorial's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 323rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Memorial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Antonio Love, who scored 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Love has scored all season. Jaden Johnson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Memorial's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for McAlester, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Memorial will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chieftains at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McAlester, they will head out on the road to take on the Ropers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
