The Easton Area Rovers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They lost to Nazareth Area on the road by a decisive 67-52 margin. Easton Area has not had much luck with Nazareth Area recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Easton Area lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ryan Cornish. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points. Jeremy Henry was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Easton Area bumped their record down to 4-9 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Nazareth Area, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Easton Area will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethlehem Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nazareth Area won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Winchester Thurston at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Winchester Thurston has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
