Make it five blowout wins for the Torrington Raiders this season. They claimed a resounding 73-44 win over Wolcott on the road. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Torrington had established a 20 point advantage.
Leading Torrington to victory were Isaac Fenn and William Parkhouse. Fenn almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, while Parkhouse almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fenn has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Williams, who scored 14 points.
Torrington's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Wolcott, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Torrington won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Ansonia is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. As for Wolcott, they will play host again and welcome the Eagles, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
