Robertson took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 16-7 margin over the Raton Tigers. The win was nothing new for the Cardinals as they're now sitting on eight straight dating back to last season.
Diego Jaramillo made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Jaramillo was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Robertson let Diego Marcos Vigil and Elijah Ortiz run wild. Vigil scored three runs while going 2-for-4, while Ortiz scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Those two hits gave Vigil a new career-high.
