Freeman has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the Colville Crimson Hawks at 7:15 p.m. on December 15th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, it was close, but Freeman sidestepped West Valley for a 40-38 victory. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Freeman has scored all season.
Freeman's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Taylee Phelps, who scored 17 points, and Natalie Semprimoznik, who scored 19 points. The contest was Phelps' sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Meanwhile, Colville put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Riverside, posting a 60-22 victory on the road. That 60-22 margin sets a new team best for Colville this season.
The victory got Freeman back to even at 3-3. As for Colville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Freeman took their victory against Colville in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 52-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Freeman since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
