The Morris Catholic Crusaders and the D DME Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Morris Catholic will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Morris Catholic can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 77-36 victory over Plainfield. Given Morris Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while Plainfield is ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Mia Pauldo, who scored 16 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Pauldo is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Brown, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, D pushed their score all the way to 63 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 72-63 to Grind Prep.
Morris Catholic's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-0. As for D, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-3.
