After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Smithson Valley, The Boerne-Champion Chargers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Lehman by a score of 35-23. Boerne-Champion's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Jordan Ballin threw for 54 yards and two touchdowns.
Isaiah Hernandez and Noah Johne long certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Hernandez rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown, while Johne long gained 64 total yards and two touchdowns.
Boerne-Champion's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Lehman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Boerne-Champion will be playing in front of their home fans against MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lehman, they will head out on the road to face off against Hays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Hays is ranked 667th, while Lehman is ranked 681st).
