The Lake Marion Gators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by Oceanside Collegiate Academy 93-33. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lake Marion in their matchups with the Landsharks: they've now lost four in a row.
Jordan Gorham and Carl Capers certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Gorham scored seven points along with two blocks, while Capers scored four points.
Lake Marion's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Marion will take on the Raptors at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Academic Magnet has now lost 20 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, they will be playing at home against the Battling Bishops at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
