Baseball Recap: Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Wins Going Away Against Hammond

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past the Hammond Tornadoes 14-1. That 13 run margin sets a new team best for the Swamp Owls this season.

Blake Schexnider made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February.
