It was a proper cat-fight when Laverne challenged Turpin on Monday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 10-2 win. Considering the Tigers have won five games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Laverne's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Turpin, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

Coincidentally, Laverne and Turpin will both be playing Buffalo the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will head out to face the Bison at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
