The Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 63-62 win over Heritage Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Bishop Machebeuf's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Miles Edgar-Parchman, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Edgar-Parchman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Jack Menke was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Bishop Machebeuf pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points per game. As for Heritage Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Machebeuf will square off against Union Colony Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Union Colony Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Bishop Machebeuf is ranked 50th). As for Heritage Christian, they will head out on the road to take on SkyView Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
