Warren can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on Trinity with a sharp 34-14 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Warren just coasted through the last quarter.
Warren found their leader in underclassman Hunter Hollyfield, who rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns. Zach Tanton was another key contributor, gaining 107 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Kountze came up short against New Waverly on Friday and fell 20-7. Kountze has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Warren's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Kountze, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
