The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pittsfield, who took down 172nd ranked Pittsfield, 32-22.
Jon Bianchi and Lavante Wiggins provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Drury. The connection was good for 52 yards, the longest such play in Berkshires this season.
St. Joseph Central's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bianchi threw for 104 and one touchdown and Wiggins had 67 yards receiving. On the ground Wiggins chipped in 170 yards. Carlos Rodriguez helped St. Joseph Central's passing attack out by catching one ball for 30 yards.
St. Joseph Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Crusaders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bianchi has thrown for 268 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Wiggins has six catches for 90 yards. Wiggins leads the league in rushing with 469 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Hoosac Valley takes on Wahconah Regional. At the moment, the Hurricanes are in fifth, while the Warriors are in second.
Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett moved up to 215 from 263 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Berkshires. A 32-22 win over the Generals helped the Spartans improve their standing.
