The Hamilton Yankees and the San Pedro Pirates squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly the Hamilton Yankees had to settle for second. They took a 66-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. Hamilton's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Despite the loss, Hamilton still got an impressive performance from Micah Jahn, who scored 25 points. Another player making a difference was Garrett Anderson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Hamilton struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Hamilton's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-19. As for San Pedro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 19-10 record this season.
Hamilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Pedro, they will face off against Granada Hills Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
