Widefield waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Littleton Lions with a sharp 3-0 win. The Gladiators were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Lions, so the Gladiators were just returning the favor.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-12.
Widefield found their leader in sophomore Lydia Valandra, who had five aces and four digs.
Widefield was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive games dating back to last season.
