After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maimonides, the Whitinsville Christian Crusaders were happy to have found some success on Friday. They strolled past Assabet Valley RVT with points to spare, taking the game 55-37. Whitinsville Christian pushed the score to 48-21 by the end of the third, a deficit Assabet Valley RVT cut but never quite recovered from.
Whitinsville Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cam Desmarais led the charge by scoring 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Desmarais has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caleb Deters, who scored 12 points.
The win got Whitinsville Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Whitinsville Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Blackstone Valley RVT at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Blackstone Valley RVT is coming into the match with five straight wins on the road, so Whitinsville Christian is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they will take on Bromfield at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
