Basketball Recap: Ryan Burns Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat BASIS Flagstaff

Williams won the last time they faced BASIS Flagstaff and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Williams Vikings managed a 43-38 victory over the BASIS Flagstaff Yetis. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Williams' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryan Burns led the charge by putting up ten points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Trimble, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Williams was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

BASIS Flagstaff's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lincoln Bradford, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards, and Daniel Quiroz, who scored 11 points and seven rebounds. Bradford has been hot recently, having also posted three or more blocks the last three times he's played.

Williams' record now sits at 10-7. As for BASIS Flagstaff, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-4.

Williams didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-48 win against Joseph City on the 16th. BASIS Flagstaff has also already played their next game, a 45-42 loss against Red Mesa on the 18th.
