The Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats are on the road again on Friday and play against the Liberty Bell Mountain Lions at 11:00 a.m. on December 1st. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wilbur-Creston-Keller had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Vikings 66-22 on the road. Wilbur-Creston-Keller's victory was all the more impressive since Mossyrock was averaging only 16 points allowed on the season.
Meanwhile, Liberty Bell put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Neah Bay, posting a 64-34 victory at home. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty Bell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lucien Paz, who threw for 374 yards and five touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Paz has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last six times he's played. Remington Paz was another key contributor, gaining 282 total yards and four touchdowns.
Wilbur-Creston-Keller's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Liberty Bell, they have yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 9-0 record.
Wilbur-Creston-Keller couldn't quite finish off Liberty Bell in their previous meeting back in October of 2019 and fell 36-34. Can Wilbur-Creston-Keller avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
