Mumford added to the longest winning streak in Detroit Public - West this week by beating Detroit Collegiate Prep, 50-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Mumford moved up to 87 from 126 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Eric Smith's team climbed the ranks as a result of beating Detroit Collegiate Prep 50-0.
Renaissance's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Maliek Phillips threw for 80 and 2 touchdowns and Kyle Lewis had 56 yards receiving. On the ground Phillips contributed 62 yards. Mark Wilson helped Renaissance's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 24 yards.
Phillips put up the best numbers through the air as the Phoenix defeated Central. Phillips' favorite target this week was Lewis, who caught 3 passes for 56 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Mumford takes on second place Cass Tech.

Thomas Wilcher's team took down the Trojans 69-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
