Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley Stream South). Their defense stepped up to hand the Wantagh Warriors a 3-0 shutout on Monday. Valley Stream South haven't had any issues with Wantagh recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The victory got Valley Stream South back to even at 3-3-2. As for Wantagh, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-3.

Coincidentally, Valley Stream South and Wantagh will both be playing Mineola the next time they take the pitch. The Falcons will host the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
