The McLouth Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oskaloosa. The result was an unpleasant reminder to McLouth of the 61-55 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Leading Oskaloosa to victory were Derrick Harvey and Gunner Rockhold. Harvey scored eight points along with five rebounds, while Rockhold scored 13 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rockhold has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Richie Rockhold, who scored ten points.
McLouth has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12-1 record this season. As for Oskaloosa, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
McLouth will head out on the road to face off against Atchison County on Tuesday. Atchison County is on a seven-game streak of home losses, McLouth a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Oskaloosa, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Jefferson County North at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully Oskaloosa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
