Basketball Recap: Jayden St. Fort Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Ransom Everglades

After losing to Ransom Everglades the last time they met, Oxbridge Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves were the clear victor by a 66-41 margin over the Ransom Everglades Raiders on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the ThunderWolves have posted since November 21, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oxbridge Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden St. Fort, who went 7 for 16 en route to 20 points. St. Fort has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. James Deyoung was another key player, going 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points.

Oxbridge Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ransom Everglades only pulled down three offensive rebounds.

Ransom Everglades' loss came despite strong showings from Quinn Pegg and Zach Schatzman. Pegg posted 11 points, while Schatzman went 5 for 10 en route to 11 points.

Oxbridge Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Ransom Everglades, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.

Oxbridge Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-53 win against Somerset Academy - Canyons on the 28th. Ransom Everglades has also already played their next contest, a 61-36 victory against Palm Glades Prep Academy on the 25th.
