After a string of three wins, Edwards County's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carmi-White County Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on October 6th.
Edwards County was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Carmi-White County work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 26-24.
Grace Bishop paced Edwards County's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bishop got some help from Alice Robb and her 23 assists. Jaycee Kolb controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 30-4. As for Carmi-White County, the victory was the 24th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 33-2.
