Baseball Recap: Lakeview Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lakeview had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Crestwood Red Devils. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

Nicolas Aho looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jozef Kuchcinski, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carter Doran, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Lakeview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Lakeview's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Crestwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Lakeview nor Crestwood have any future games scheduled.
