The Heavener Wolves won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 65-37 loss at the hands of Stigler. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Heavener has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Heavener lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jackson Clubb. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Clubb is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Zaid Rodriguez, who scored eight points.
Heavener's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Stigler, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heavener will take on Panama at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Panama will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Heavener surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stigler, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hartshorne at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
