Given Lambert's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Denmark is ranked 137th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lambert's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Jett Conley and Thomas Hall who racked up four sacks between them.
Lambert's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points per game. As for Denmark, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lambert will challenge South Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Denmark, they will head out on the road to face off against Milton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Milton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
