The King Abdullah Academy Falcons pushed their score all the way to 75 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 94-75 fall against Fredericksburg Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (62), King Abdullah Academy still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why King Abdullah Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zak Osman. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Osman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Salmaan Abdullah, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds.
Carter Johnson was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points for Fredericksburg Christian. Another player making a difference was Christan Smith, who scored 17 points.
King Abdullah Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Fredericksburg Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
King Abdullah Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Immanuel Christian at 6:30 p.m. As for Fredericksburg Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against The Carmel School at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. The Carmel School is on a five-game streak of home wins, Fredericksburg Christian a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
