The University Prep Science & Math Cobra lost against the Mt. Clemens Battling Bathers back in December of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. University Prep Science & Math took a 40-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Clemens. University Prep Science & Math has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mt. Clemens' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Leah Williams, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 19 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Williams scored 15 or more points. Alasia Price was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
University Prep Science & Math's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mt. Clemens, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
University Prep Science & Math will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lincoln-King Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Lincoln-King Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. Mt. Clemens will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rose Leadership Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
