Two dominant guards in Martin Soria and Jeff Mendros are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Las Plumas Thunderbirds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Corning Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Las Plumas is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
On Tuesday, Las Plumas didn't have too much trouble with Orland on the road as they won 66-50.
Meanwhile, Corning strolled past Oroville with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 52-35. The victory was just what Corning needed coming off of a 68-40 loss in their prior contest.
Las Plumas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Corning, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.
Las Plumas beat Corning 54-47 when the teams last played last Saturday. Will Las Plumas repeat their success, or does Corning have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
