Thursday just wasn't the day for the Cranston East Thunderbolts's offense. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 20-0 walloping at the hands of East Greenwich. Cranston East was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Greenwich apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
East Greenwich's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cade Thomas, who gained 79 total yards and a touchdown.
Cranston East's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for East Greenwich, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Cranston East and Cranston West will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Cranston West is ranked 14th, while Cranston East is ranked 29th). East Greenwich will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chariho at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Chariho comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
