The Spackenkill Spartans's game on Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They rang in the new year with a 31-23 victory over Webutuck. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Spackenkill also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Spackenkill can attribute much of their success to Blythe Mcquade, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Maryclare Parker-stark was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Spackenkill's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-3. As for Webutuck, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Millbrook the next time they take the court. Webutuck will host Millbrook at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Spackenkill will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
