Cambridge Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Hoover led the charge by picking up 41 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Preston Gorton was another key contributor, rushing for 70 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Meanwhile, Redbank Valley didn't have too much trouble with Port Allegany at home on Friday as they won 26-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Redbank Valley.
Redbank Valley can attribute much of their success to Jaxon Huffman, who threw for 344 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.6 yards per attempt, and Ashton Kahle, who picked up 249 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Kahle's longest reception was for an incredible 81 yards.
Cambridge Springs' victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Redbank Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as the two teams haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Cambridge Springs commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 5.7 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Redbank Valley struggles in that department as they've been even better at 6.5 per game.
