After flying high against the Falls Church Jaguars on Tuesday, the Chantilly Chargers came back down to earth. Chantilly took a 73-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gainesville on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (62), Chantilly still had to take the loss.
Loss or not, Chantilly got some senior leadership from Tyler Swindell who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals and Amare Elshoush who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivan So, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
Chantilly's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Gainesville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Chantilly won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Battlefield at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Gainesville, they will be playing at home against Forest Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
