Easton (Pa.) jumped out to an early lead against
Phillipsburg (N.J.) and never looked back on the way to a 35-18 victory on Saturday.
The Rovers scored seven points in the first quarter. Easton scored on a passing touchdown.
After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, EHS led 21-12 at the half.
The Rovers saw their 9-point halftime lead fall to three entering the fourth.
Dajuan Lee played well for the Stateliners. The senior ran for one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to six on the year.
A 24-8 Easton victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Phillipsburg defeated Columbia 55-12 last week. The victory was a step in the right direction for EHS, which was coming off a 41-10 defeat at the hands of Parkland in its previous game.
