Basketball Recap: Concord Christian Academy Triumphs

Concord Christian Academy won the last time they faced Chestertown Christian Academy, and Keavon Bailey - HS did his part to make sure it happened again. The Concord Christian Academy Minutemen snuck past the Chestertown Christian Academy Patriots with a 55-50 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Bailey - HS, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brian Lloyd, who posted 23 points and eight steals. Chestertown Christian Academy is 2-1 when Lloyd posts three or more steals, but 1-2 otherwise. John Stoltzfus was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards.

Concord Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

When Concord Christian Academy and Chestertown Christian Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Concord Christian Academy will face off against Eastern Shore HomeSchool and their seven-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Chestertown Christian Academy will try to stop Calvary Christian Academy's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
