In what's become a running theme this season, the Flagstaff Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 69-40 victory over Mingus at home. Flagstaff is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 12 straight.
Several Marauders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alice Kinsey, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 21 rebounds. Kinsey has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 14 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Tobias, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Flagstaff's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.5 points. As for Mingus, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flagstaff won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bradshaw Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Bradshaw Mountain will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Flagstaff is ranked 11th). As for Mingus, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mohave at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Mohave has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 20.
