Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for North East

North East put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 15-3 margin over the Seneca Bobcats. This was payback for the Grape Pickers, who suffered a 6-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Jerek Turlij, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Colton Owens was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

North East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seneca only posted a batting average of .143.

North East pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North East will host Union at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seneca, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seneca is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
