Parrish's Jermichael Harris rumbled for the longest rushing play in 1A Region 5 this season in his game against Brilliant last week. Harris ran for 98 yards on the play and finished with 308 on the day as his team beat the Tigers.
Pickens County extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Hubbertville, 42-19. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Tornadoes.
Parrish's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Harris threw for 77 and two touchdowns and Reginald Harris had 35 yards receiving. Marcus Harris helped Parrish's passing attack out by catching one ball for 30 yards.
Marion County's Sean Wallace and DeShawn Riebeshel have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wallace has thrown for 650 yards this season, while Riebeshel has 11 catches for 329 yards. Harris from Jarrod Wooten's team leads the league in rushing with 1009 yards.
Two of the top units in 1A Region 5 will face off this week when the Red Raiders take on Pickens County. Marion County's offense has scored 368 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while James Tidwell's team has allowed only 71 on the year.
