The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while All S is ranked 954th).
When it comes to explaining why Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool lost, one person who can't be blamed is Toby Pike. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. Pike has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 12 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Aguilar, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4. As for All S, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season.
Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool on the road again on Friday and play against North Central Texas Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for All S, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Worth Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
