Franklin waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Muskego Warriors. This was a revenge game for the Sabers: when they faced off against the Warriors back in August, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.
Franklin wouldn't go down easily and took Muskego into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-20, 24-26, 25-21, 16-14.
Kaitlyn Marx paced Franklin's offense, picking up 24 kills. Marx got some help from Allie Sobocinski and her 28 assists. Sobocinski also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hailey Johnson, each putting up two.
Franklin's win bumped their record up to 11-20. As for Muskego, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-16.
