Mound City/Craig will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Stewartsville/Osborn at 7:00 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Mound City/Craig had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past South Nodaway/Jefferson 58-0. The Mound City/Craig offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Meanwhile, Stewartsville/Osborn took care of business in their home opener. They steamrollered North Nodaway/West Nodaway 50-0. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-0.
Their wins bumped Mound City/Craig to 1-0 and Stewartsville/Osborn to 1-0. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
