Bend is 8-2 against Ridgeview since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lava Bears will host the Ravens at 4:30 p.m. Bend knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Ridgeview likes a good challenge.
If Bend beats Ridgeview with 15 runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Lava Bears beat Redmond on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 15-3.
Janelle Guiney was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Guiney was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Bend got a massive performance out of Cassidy Sandgren, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those four hits gave Sandgren a new career-high. Isabella Lauerman was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Bend kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 12 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Ridgeview put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Caldera 6-4. The game was the first time the Ravens have beaten Caldera on their field since April 19, 2023.
Ridgeview pushed their record up to 15-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Bend, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8-1 record this season.
Bend might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Ridgeview in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will the Lava Bears have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
