The Frankfort Wildcats won the last time they faced the Clifton-Clyde Eagles, and things went their way on Friday too. Frankfort took down Clifton-Clyde 55-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for Frankfort.
Despite the defeat, Clifton-Clyde saw an underclassman step up: Sevy Wurtz scored 23 points along with two steals. That was a full 62.2% of Clifton-Clyde's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Steinbrock, who scored six points.
Frankfort's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Clifton-Clyde, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-2.
Frankfort will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Onaga at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Clifton-Clyde, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Concordia at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
