The Sneads Pirates suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. Their tough 84-60 defeat to Walton might stick with them for a while. Sneads was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-25.
Nykavian Bradley and Michael Perkins certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Bradley scored 25 points along with five rebounds, while Perkins scored 15 points. That was a full 41.7% of Sneads' points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Preston White, who scored five points.
It was another big night for Luke Kring, who scored 24 points along with eight assists and five rebounds for Walton. That's the first time this season that Kring posted eight or more assists. Elijah Neenan was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight assists.
Sneads are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-3. As for Walton, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
Sneads will take on Malone at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Malone focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Friday. As for Walton, they will head out on the road to face off against Freeport at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Freeport will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 568th, while Walton is ranked 93rd).
